Hinton Field is a great example of a family home that required additional kitchen space. By removing the rear of the house, we were able to open up the kitchen and create a much more generous open-plan living area. The garden was also landscaped to strengthen the connection between the inside and outside, creating a seamless indoor–outdoor experience. The result is a bright, welcoming space that works beautifully for family life.
Design Intent
The design approach for Hinton Field focused on improving space, light, and connection to the garden. By opening up the rear of the house, the layout was reworked to support open-plan family living while maintaining a comfortable, welcoming feel. Careful consideration was given to how the internal spaces flow into the landscaped garden, ensuring the home works just as well for everyday family life as it does for entertaining.
